Better Bib Linen Chef's Apron ~ Persimmon
Our Better Bib 100% Linen Chef's Apron in warm Persimmon.
Handmade in Oregon, USA.
A better linen chef's apron starts with a true mid-weight linen:
not so light that it feels flimsy or lets splashes through, but not so heavy that it hinders movement or weighs you down.
For our apron, we chose a premium 7.5oz Belgian Linen to strike the perfect balance of comfort, durability, and protection.

The front face of the apron is double-layer linen throughout the work-contact area.
All seams are sewn with color-matched Tex40 industrial poly thread for an elegant stitch with lasting durability.

The apron has three pockets: a large "handwarmer" style central pocket, a lower-right utensil pocket,
and an upper breast pocket for phone or notepad and pen.
The towel loop is quality latigo leather riveted through reinforced backing.
All grommets are set through reinforced backing.

Our design features a sliding leather disc strap-keeper at mid-back which prevents the straps from
wandering off your shoulders while you work, and also makes the apron much easier to put on and take off.
To put the apron on, leave the straps in the lower grommets and simply pass your head between the bib and leather strap-keeper,
then drop the apron onto your shoulders as you would a gown.
Tie the straps, and you're done!

The straps can be adjusted at the neck and waist to fit most torso sizes and shapes.
Apron dimensions: 33" height x 30" width, 10" wide at the bib top. Straps are 59" long. The apron weighs 10oz total.

Care: Hand wash, or bundle the twill straps and machine wash.
Line dry, or tumble dry on cool only until just slightly damp.
Be aware that drying any linen on high heat will result in significant shrinkage over time.

Quality linen can always be pressed to preserve a crisper "new" look as seen in the photos,
or you can forego ironing and allow the linen to take on the classic "soft" look that comes with normal use.
Use a leather balm (or olive oil in a pinch) to lightly oil the leather twice per year to keep it from drying due to wash cycles.

Sold per each.
